Participant Reviews
From People Who Attended
Siti Rahmah
Melaka · Starter Workshop
"I had tried to set up a budget spreadsheet on my own twice before and gave up both times. The session made sense because the trainer explained each formula in plain words before typing it in. I left with a working sheet that I have used every month since."

Ahmad Hafizi
Ayer Keroh · Financial Tools Course
"The four-week course was well-paced. I was a bit worried going in that it would be too basic but it picked up faster than I expected by week three. The group practice sessions were genuinely useful — you see how other people approach the same problem differently."

Norzalina
Bukit Baru · Complete Programme
"The full programme was the right call for me. Building the dashboard section over several sessions, rather than trying to absorb it all at once, made a real difference. The printed guide is something I keep on my desk. The three months of support also helped when I got stuck applying things at home."

Khairul Rizal
Cheng · Starter Workshop
"Short and practical. I went to the starter session expecting to come away with a template someone else made. Instead I built the whole thing myself during the session, which was more satisfying. Took about two hours all in."

Faridah Yunos
Klebang · Financial Tools Course
"I joined the course mostly to understand how IF formulas work because I kept misusing them. By week two I had that sorted. The rest of the course covered tracking that I had not thought about doing in a spreadsheet but now use regularly. Good value for what is included."

Zulaikha Idris
Bertam · Complete Programme
"The location is convenient for anyone in Melaka — no need to go to KL for this sort of training. The sessions felt manageable, not overwhelming, and the fact that sessions are in small groups meant the trainer could notice when someone was not following and adjust before moving on."

How the Training Applied in Practice
Household Budget — Starter Workshop
Single session · Melaka participant
Challenge
Managing household income across multiple categories on paper was becoming difficult to track. Small overspends in one area were affecting others without being noticed until late in the month.
What Changed
The starter workshop session produced a working monthly budget sheet with formula-driven category totals. The plain-words approach meant the participant understood what each cell was doing rather than just accepting a number.
Outcome
The sheet has been used and updated each month for over six months since the session. The participant reports being able to see category spending clearly for the first time, which changed how they allocate funds at the start of each month.
Freelance Income Tracking — Financial Tools Course
Four-week course · Ayer Keroh participant
Challenge
Irregular freelance income made it hard to track whether monthly spending was within a reasonable range. There was no clear view of how much had come in versus gone out across different months.
What Changed
The four-week course covered tracking over time, including running totals and monthly summary views. By week three the participant had a layout suited specifically to irregular income with a month-by-month comparison row.
Outcome
The participant now reviews a consistent monthly summary rather than working from memory. The time spent reconciling records at the end of each month dropped noticeably, and the view across months made it easier to plan ahead.
Personal Financial Dashboard — Complete Programme
Full programme · Bukit Baru participant
Challenge
Managing data across multiple accounts with different record formats meant important information was scattered. A single, organised view did not exist and creating one from scratch seemed too complicated to start alone.
What Changed
The full programme sessions covered multi-sheet structure and personal dashboard design across several sessions. The post-session group support was used three times to resolve specific issues that came up during application at home.
Outcome
A working personal dashboard built over the programme period — covering income, outgoings and a year-to-date summary across separate sheets. The participant updated the template several times since completing the programme, using the printed guide for reference.
